3. Position Details

• Organization: Indian Air Force (IAF), Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India
• Post Name: Commissioned Officer (Flying Branch & Ground Duty – Technical and Non-Technical)
• Type of Commission: Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men & Women
• Vacancies: 300+ Expected for Flying Officer branch. Other branches have vacancies as per organizational requirements.
• Pay Scale: Flying Officer: Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500/- (Level 10) + MSP Rs. 15,500/-

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2027):

• Flying Branch (AFCAT Entry): 20 to 24 years (20 to 26 years for CPL holders).
• Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) – AFCAT Entry and Ground Duty (Technical) – GATE Score Entry: 20 to 26 years.

Educational Qualifications:

• Flying Branch: Graduation with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level, or BE/B.Tech degree.
• Ground Duty (Technical): BE/B.Tech in relevant engineering disciplines.
• Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Graduation in relevant discipline.
