4. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Varies by trade: B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry), Matric with ITI (Fitter), Diploma (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation), B.A./B.Sc/B.Com, Class XII pass.
• Minimum aggregate marks: 50% for General, 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved seats.
• Candidates awaiting results as on 30 June 2026 are not eligible.

Age Limit (as on 30 June 2026):

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years (for General/EWS candidates)
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), up to 10 years for PwBD candidates as per Govt. guidelines.

5. Application Process

Eligible candidates must apply online through two mandatory steps:

1. Registration & Application on NAPS/NATS Portal:
   • For Codes 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, 110 & 111: Register on NAPS portal.
   • For Codes 104, 105, 106 & 107: Register on NATS/BOAT portal.
   • Use Establishment ID EBRBEC000003 for NATS or E11191000001 for NAPS.
2. Mandatory Microsoft Form Submission:
   • After NAPS/NATS application, fill the "Apprenticeship Additional Data Form: Barauni Refinery 2026" via the link provided on www.iocl.com (also linked above).
   • Ensure details match exactly with NAPS/NATS application.
   • Only one application per trade/discipline is allowed; multiple applications will be rejected.

6. Selection Process

• Selection Method: Purely based on the percentage of marks scored in the prescribed qualification. No written test.
• Merit Listing: Candidates ranked by aggregate percentage of marks.
• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
• Medical Fitness: Final engagement only for medically fit candidates.
• Note: No obligation for regular employment after apprenticeship completion.
