Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Guwahati Refinery has announced recruitment for 102 Apprentice vacancies across 11 trade and discipline codes.

4. Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualifications vary by trade code. Candidates must have passed the prescribed qualification as on 30 June 2026, from a recognized Board/University/Institute as a regular full-time course. Results awaited candidates, distance/correspondence/part-time qualification holders, and those with higher qualifications like BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, or MCA are not eligible.
Examples of Required Qualification:
- Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant): 3-year B.Sc. in Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry (50% marks, 45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter): Matriculation + ITI in Fitter Trade (minimum 2 years, Pass class)
- Technician Apprentice – Chemical: 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engg./Petrochemical Engg./Chemical Technology/Refinery and Petrochemical Engg. (50% marks, 45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Trade Apprentice – Secretarial Assistant: 3-year B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com (50% marks, 45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Class XII pass (50% marks, 45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
5. Age Limit (as on 30 June 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age (UR / EWS): 24 years
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- SC / ST: 5 years
- PwBD (General): 10 years
- PwBD – OBC(NCL): 13 years
- PwBD – SC/ST: 15 years
6. Stipend / Benefits
- Monthly Stipend: As per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and IOCL Corporation guidelines.
- Accommodation: Not provided.
- Accident Insurance: Provided.
- Safety Equipment (Codes 101–107): One pair of safety shoes and helmet (returnable on completion).
- Leave: General Leave (32 days), Casual Leave (12 days pro-rata).
7. Selection Process
- No Written Test.
- Selection Basis: Purely merit-based on the percentage of marks in the prescribed qualifying examination.
- Stages: Merit List preparation, Document Verification, Pre-Engagement Medical Examination, Offer of Engagement.
8. Application Process
The application process is a mandatory two-step online process, open from 29 June 2026 (10:00 hrs) to 28 July 2026 (17:00 hrs).
- Step I – Register and Apply on NAPS or NATS Portal:
- For Trade Apprentices (Codes 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, 110, 111): Register on NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) using Establishment ID: E08191800001.
- For Technician Apprentices (Codes 104, 105, 106, 107): Register on NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) using Establishment ID: EASKMC000002.
- Step II – Submit Additional Details via Microsoft Forms: After successfully applying on NAPS/NATS, candidates must submit additional details through the Microsoft Forms link available on www.iocl.com. Ensure the Enrolment No./Student ID/Registration No. and email/mobile used in both steps are identical.
